HHS volleyball gets one win at Great Bend tourney

GREAT BEND -- The Hays High School volleyball team went 1-5 on Saturday at the Great Bend Invitational.
The Indians defeated Pratt-Skyline (25-19, 25-12), but lost to Salina Central (25-11, 25-9), Wichita-Northwest (25-10, 25-20), Phillipsburg (21-25, 25-20, 25-19), Great Bend (25-14, 19-25, 25-22) and St. John (25-8, 25-18).
Hays High is now 9-19.
Against Skyline, Mikayla Linn led the team in kills with six. Madison Prough had 14 assists. Millie Copper had 13 aces, and Albany Schaffer posted 13 digs.
