HHS volleyball 0-3 in Colby

COLBY -- The Hays High School volleyball team dropped three matches Monday at the Colby quadrangular, but the Indians did manage to take two of their opponents to three sets.
Hays High lost to Liberal (23-25, 25-11, 25-18), Phillipsburg (27-25, 25-13) and Colby (25-17, 20-25, 25-17).
The Indians are now 9-22.
Senior Mikayla Linn led her team in kills and blocks in all three matches.
Against Liberal, Linn had seven kills and five blocks (three solo). Freshman Madison Prough had seven assists, and freshman Albany Schaffer posted 16 digs.
Versus Phillipsburg, Linn posted seven kills and was involved in six blocks (one solo). Senior Shea Briggs had nine assists, and Schaffer had 10 digs and two aces.
Against Colby, Linn had seven kills and four blocks (one solo). Briggs had 16 assists, Schaffer had 15 digs and senior Millie Copper had a team-high two aces.
