Larks take another from Dodge City

DODGE CITY - For the second straight game and the fourth time in the last six contests, the Hays Larks pounded out a double-digit effort.
On Wednesday night, Hays defeated Dodge City 13-4. The Larks swept the two-game road series and are 4-0 against Dodge, outscoring them 38-16.
Hays improved to 29-12 overall and 23-8 in league play, two and a half games ahead of 21-11 Derby with five contests left in the regular season.
Eric Roof, the starting catcher who saw a rare appearance at second base, went 4-for-4 with three runs scored, three RBI and a homer.
Andrew Heck, in his first start all summer, threw four solid innings for the win. Hays team pitched six to cover the game.
The Larks open a three-game series against Nevada on Friday at Larks Park at 7 p.m.
