GREAT BEND -- The Hays Legion baseball team did its part. Now the Eagles can only wait to see if it was enough.
Needing as many wins as possible heading into postseason, Hays swept Great Bend in a doubleheader Friday night, winning the opener 4-0 and taking the nightcap, 7-5. The Eagles finished the regular season 25-14 and will host the Zone 7 tournament starting Tuesday at Larks Park.
The tourney seeding won't be determined until after Great Bend plays at Andover in a doubleheader tonight. Hays could wind up with the No. 1 seed; regardless, the Eagles will play 7 p.m. Tuesday against an undetermined opponent.

Sam Rohleder had a double, two RBIs and two runs scored. Rule, Austin Klaus and David Klaus each had two hits. Austin Klaus had a double, with one RBI and one run scored. Rule tripled, with one run scored.
