Monarchs compete in Larned meet

LARNED -- The Thomas More Prep-Marian track and field team had seven top-three finishes Tuesday at the Larned Invitational.
TMP junior Carlos Duenes finished first in 23.67 seconds in the 200-meter dash.
Senior Austin Werth won the pole vault with a leap of 13 feet, while freshman Sam Dreiling finished third.
Sophomore Sanyong Khatri got third in the 100-meter dash, and sophomore Aaron Moore finished third in the discus throw. The boys' 3,200-meter relay team also finished third.
The girls' side featured only one top-three finish, as junior Allison Pfeifer finished third in the 800-meter run in 2:33.
Pratt won the meet on the boys' and girls' sides with 140 and 121 points, respectively.
TMP's boys finished fourth with 63 points, and TMP's girls finished ninth with 16.5 point without top point scorers, junior Heather Ruder and sophomore Mikaela Flax
