LARNED -- The Thomas More Prep-Marian girls' track team was second and boys' finished third out of four teams at the MCAA league meet Thursday. The Monarchs girls tallied 63 points, while the boys scored 65 points. Ellinwood won the girls' title with 88 points. Hoisington won the boys' title with 76 points. Heather Ruder and Allison Pfeifer went 1-2 in the 800-meter run with times of 2 minutes, 25.89 seconds and 2:30.62. They also finished 1-2 in the 1,600 with 5:32.68 and 5:51.74. Ruder easily won the 3,200 with a 12:30.27. Megan Gottschalk won the pole vault with a 9-8, while Emilie Taylor tied for second with 9-2.

Rodney Deus won the 100- and 200-meter dashes in 10.62 and 23.32 seconds. Carlos Duenes was second in the 400 with a 53.90. The 400-meter relay also won in 44.2 seconds. Austin Werth was second in the pole vault at 12-6.
