Two hurt when car rolls on interstate

A single-vehicle accident at 5:45 p.m. Monday evening led to the injuries of two Las Vegas residents.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2005 Ford passenger car driven by Katharine Lee Jensen, 25, suffered a tire blowout, causing her to lose control of the vehicle, which was traveling east.

The car entered the median and overturned in the westbound lane of I-70 about 8 miles west of Hays, KHP reported.

The driver and a passenger, 56-year-old Kathie L. Jensen, Las Vegas, were taken to Hays Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
