Roadwork to begin in Decatur, Osborne counties

Road construction projects to seal portions of US Highway 83 in Decatur County and Kansas Highway 181 in Osborne County might start Monday.

Workers will seal a portion of US-83, beginning at the US-83/US-36 junction and continuing north about 12 miles to the Nebraska state line.

Flaggers and a pilot car operation will guide one-lane traffic through the work zone during daylight hours. Delays of 15 minutes or less will be expected throughout the construction time frame.

In Osborne County, Workers will seal a portion of K-181, beginning at the Mitchell county line and continuing north about 13 miles to the southern city limits of Downs.
