Exhibit opens at Deines

RUSSELL -- "Our View from Here," an exhibition of work from the North Central Kansas Art Association and curated by Jan Schoen, president of the association, will open with an artists' reception 2 to 4 p.m. today at Deines Cultural Center, 820 N. Main, Russell.

The show includes oils and pastels by Gary Ozias, Downs, and Pattie Wall, Lebanon; oils and acrylics by Jan Schoen, Cawker City; oil paintings by Cher Heller Olson, Council Grove; pastels by Brandy Miner, Osborne; oil, pastel, watercolor and acrylic paintings by Connie Kapsa, Beloit, and Clinton Christian, Superior, Neb.  

Christian also will be exhibit pencil drawings and pencil drawing reproductions by Marilyn Hake, Tipton. Donna Silsby, Mankato, is bringing oils, stained glass, dyed silk pieces and oil pastels on sandpaper.  Joyce Seevers Benedick, Beloit, will show acrylics along with Larry Zvolanek, Osborne, who also will have ink wash, pencil and marker drawings.  Amanda Goth, Beloit, will display and sell jewelry.  

"Our View from Here" will be open through June 28.

Admission is free.
