The Interfraternity Council -- governing body of Fort Hays State University fraternities -- was awarded the Division I Risk Reduction and Management and Council Management Award by the Association of Fraternal Leadership and Values at its recent recognition banquet.

The award is designed specifically to assist the council in achieving the highest level of excellence possible in risk reduction and management.

The group competed against other Interfraternity Councils throughout the country that have two to six fraternity chapters on their campuses. FHSU has five fraternities, Alpha Gamma Rho, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Sigma Chi, Sigma Phi Epsilon Colony and Tau Kappa Epsilon.
