A Saturday poker run raised nearly $6,000 for the family of Madison Hunt, a Victoria 3-year-old suffering from cancer.

Madison is the daughter of Chris and Staci Hunt.

Organizer Michelle Sarver said 102 bikes took part in the run and raised just more than $3,800, with American Legion riders from Pratt contributing an additional $1,600.

"A little girl from Park sold a bunch of her stuffed animals and came with a donation of $92," Sarver said.

The Fort Hays HOG Chapter donated use of poker chip bags for the fundraiser, and the Hays Police Department escorted the group in and out of town.
