John E. Singer

John E. Singer, 75, Oakley, formerly of Craig, Colo., died Monday, March 10, 2008, in Oakley.

He was born Feb. 9, 1933, in La Junta, Colo., to John "Burt" and Esther Ogden Singer.

He married Connie G. Thrasher on Dec. 31, 1988, in Crowley, Colo. He was a heavy equipment operator and rancher.

Survivor include his wife, of the home; two step-daughters, Lori Mraz, Cedar Park, Texas, and Angela Ashida, Swink, Colo.; and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Oakley Christian Church; burial in Monument Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, with family present from 7 to 8 p.m. at Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home, Oakley.

Memorials are suggested to Oakley Christian Church or Hospice services in care of the funeral home.
