The Obama conscience

Let me begin this letter with three thoughts.

1) We all know that the word "conscience" is about distinguishing between right and wrong. 2) Seems to me that never before in our history facts in politics are an illusion to so many, while feelings and emotion have the upper hand. 3) If one doesn't like the message, attack the messenger.

Word is that our upcoming presidential election in 2012 will be the dirtiest ever.

If that's the case, how many lies and distortions will take place? How much of our political debate will ignore the real problems (call it the message) while the messenger (call it the opposition) takes center stage in criticism about things that don't matter.

Obama's playbook is simple. Look for scapegoats to distract from the real issues.

According to Obama, we are a racist country.

How can that be when white Americans provided the most support in putting him in the White House?

Seems to me there's something very wrong about that rhetoric. It's a non-factual distortion, and it's all about attacking the messengers who don't agree with his governance.

According to Obama (and company), it's all Bush's fault. Really? Does it matter that his political party has controlled Congress going back nearly five years when Bush was still president?

This is Obama's economy, not Bush's, and that's a fact. Bush policies might not have helped, but Obama's liberal agendas made our economy far worse.

According to Obamaists, Republicans are obstructionists even though Democrats controlled Congress most of the time in question. How many Republican votes did Democrats need to pass the most unscrupulous and corrupt Obamacare legislation in our history? Not one because Rep votes didn't matter.

Even if there is Republican obstructionism it's what most Americans at this point want anyway. Virtually everything our liberal government proposes does not work.

Is our economy in the tank or the reason for our debt the fault of the rich? Please! The rich already pay most of our taxes. Obama took in more campaign money from the rich (including corporations) than McCain. Right now, he sits on a treasure trove of campaign money coming from the rich. Word is we could take all of the money from the richest 400 and it wouldn't pay our bills for a week. Using the rich as scapegoats is nothing but a diversion.

The class warfare trumped up by Obama pitting the "haves" against the "have-nots" is unconscionable. History proves that redistribution of wealth (socialism) does not work. What is happening in many European countries as we speak proves my point.

Don't be taken in by 24/7 attacks on the messengers, namely Republican candidates. With the help of media, look for vetting on Obama's opposition like never before. Keep in mind that Obama wasn't vetted. We don't even know his grades in college or what he wrote. Media will make sure voters know every single solitary thing about those running against their man.

Here's my wish. Voters need to keep their eye on the ball which is the message that there is too much spending, waste, fraud, corruption, no transparency, over regulation, higher taxes especially with Obamacare, unemployment, nuclear proliferation and growing the public sector while destroying the private sector.

It is my humble opinion that our 44th president will say anything no matter how false or inaccurate to be re-elected, and liberal media will not correct him. I know where I stand about Obama doing the right (or shall we say wrong?) thing for this country.
