The Hays Public Library will be filled with folk music Nov. 4.

Dana and Susan Robinson, Americana folk artists, will perform at 2 p.m. Nov. 4 in the adult department gallery.

According to the duo's website, "Dana and Susan Robinson are two guitar-playing, banjo-frailing, fiddle-sawing and harmony-singing interpreters of the American experience."

Between the two of them, they have recorded eight CDs.

Their most recent CD is "American Hornpipe." The CD is described as a "melting pot of Appalachian, Celtic and African influences."

The event is open to all ages and is free.

Library spokeswoman Emma Detrixhe said the performance should last an hour.

"We definitely go for local artists and for artists who show the kind of music our patrons want to listen to, so we get a lot of requests for folksy music," Detrixhe said.
