Change of venue denied in Great Bend murder case

GREAT BEND -- A motion for a change of venue in the Adam Longoria case has been denied.

Barton County District Judge Hannelore Kitts issued notice of the opinion Monday afternoon, according to an email from Ron Keefover, information officer with the Kansas Judicial Administrators office.

A journal entry on her decision has not yet been posted.

Longoria is charged with capital murder in the 2010 death of 14-year-old Alicia DeBolt, formerly of Hays.
