Post Rock Muzzleloaders to converge near Otis

OTIS -- The Post Rock Muzzleloaders will gather Friday, Saturday and Sunday 1 mile east of Otis.

Camps will be set up Friday. Campers can practice throwing tomahawks and knives at targets for competition Saturday.

Between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday, campers can go to the shooting range with black-powder rifles and pistols to compete for prizes. They also can compete for prizes throwing knives and tomahawks.

There will be a potluck supper Saturday at 6 p.m. Campers will depict life as it was in the 1840s, wearing clothing from that period, and cooking over open pit fires.

On Sunday, there will be a community breakfast at 8:30 a.m. Prizes are presented at 10 a.m.

If anyone does not want to camp 1840s-style, there also will be a modern campsite.
