Huelskamp endorses Ostmeyer in state race

Rep. Tim Huelskamp, R-Fowler, on Friday endorsed Ralph Ostmeyer, R-Grinnell, for the state Senate's 40th District.

"Ralph Ostmeyer has been a strong conservative in the Kansas State Senate," Huelskamp said. "The 2012 legislative session made it clear that we need more legislators, like Ralph, and less politicians, serving in our state capitol. It's time we had more men and women of courage and conviction like Ralph Ostmeyer representing Kansans in Topeka."

Other candidates filing for the seat are John E. Miller, R-Norton, and Sen. Allen Schmidt, D-Hays, who was practically removed from his 36 District incumbency when Ellis County shifted west to the 40th District due to redistricting.

Huelskamp's emdorsement was announced by the American Freedom PAC, which "supports like-minded candidates who share Congressman Huelskamp's pro-growth, pro-family views."
