Margery Mae Pavlu

Margery Mae Pavlu, 85, Ness City, formerly of Yakima, Wash., died Monday, March 3, 2008, at Hays Medical Center.

She was born May 10, 1922, in Yakima to William J. and Melvina La Fontaine Gaudette. She graduated from St. Joseph's Academy, Yakima.

She married Francis J. Pavlu on May 6, 1946, in Yakima. He preceded her in death on May 8, 1994. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, McCracken, Sacred Heart Church, Ness City, and Alter Society.

Survivors include a son, Paul Pavlu and wife, Pamela, Brownell; four daughters, Linda Hanan and husband, Steven, Spring Branch, Texas, Marye Clouston and husband, Bob, Manhattan, Joan Bruntz and husband, Mike, Bazine; and Laurie Dechant and husband, Darrell, Hays; two half-brothers, William R. Gaudette, Seattle, and Richard M. Gaudette, Portland, Ore.; 13 grandchildren, Brian Hanan, Rob and Troy Clouston, Heather Schroeder, Aaron and Jason Pavlu, Amanda Thom, Nicole Crystal, Jacque Bruntz, Melissa Colby, Tracy Staab and Trena Jenkins; and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie Gaudette, and two granddaughters, Christina Hanan, and Angela Dechant.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Ness City; burial in St. Mary Cemetery, McCracken.

A vigil/rosary will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to St. Mary Cemetery Fund, or Fresenius Medical Care in care of Fitzgerald Funeral Home, P.O, Box 96, Ness City, KS 67560.
