Traffic was snarled on Interstate 70 Monday morning when a semi overturned on the roadway.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the westbound truck, driven by Jeffrey Lynn Judd, 44, Rust Valley, Utah, struck the rear of a 2008 Ford pickup, also westbound. The incident occurred 10 miles east of WaKeeney at approximately 8:20 a.m.
The semi entered the median and came to rest in the eastbound lane, blocking traffic.
Neither the driver of the pickup, Deshon Ray Jones, 27, Tulsa, Okla., nor any of his four passengers were injured.
Judd was taken to Trego County-Lemke Memorial Hospital in WaKeeney for treatment of possible injuries.
