TMP changes school slogan to fit new junior high

Times, they are a changing at Thomas More Prep-Marian High School.
Last month, 120-plus more students than usual entered the doors of the local Catholic high school for their first day of class at the newly formed TMP Junior High School.
On Friday, it was announced the longtime motto of the school will be different from now on as well.
Replacing the former "Give us four years, and we'll give you a lifetime" is "Worlds of Opportunity, Investing for Eternity."
Barb Wagoner, campus minister at TMP, told the 400-some students, faculty, staff and parents in attendance at an all-school Mass the reasons for the change are "that we are no longer a four-year school, and we have a greater vision."
The new motto is a collaborative effort spearheaded by the school's public relations committee.
"We are changing it," Jeff Brull, advancement director at TMP, said of the former motto. "But really, we're also expanding on it."
Brull said the committee has been working for several months on the project, and it took a lot of discussion and suggestions to come up with a motto just right for TMP.
He said the school is in the process of changing all the letterhead and other signage with the motto on it to include the new one.
