Hays USD 489 personnel transactions

The following personnel transactions were approved Monday by the USD 489 Board of Education.

Resignations

Jonita Windholz, head volleyball coach, Felten Middle School, has resigned her coaching duties effective at the end of the 2009 season; Jim Mortinger, assistant wrestling coach, Hays High School, effective Oct. 23.

Retirement

Judy Windholz, special education para educator (25 years); Bernadine Helget, library secretary, Roosevelt and Lincoln elementaries (10 years).

Leave

Shaina Prough, teacher, Hays High, requests maternity leave from about Dec. 7 through Jan. 1.

Transfers

Sharri Coffey, from P.A.T.H.S. parent educator to social services worker with Headstart.

Provisional employment

Jade Stevens, after-care assistant, Wilson Elementary; Amber Steiner, ELL para educator, Washington Elementary.
