Three hurt in wreck near Hoxie
Three Sheridan County residents were injured in a two-vehicle accident on a county road near Hoxie late Wednesday morning.
A southbound pickup driven by James Waldon, 62, Hoxie, crossed left of center on County Road 10E approximately 2 miles north of U.S. Highway 24 at 10:48 a.m. and hit northbound Phillip Bowie from Dresden head on.
Both vehicles came to rest in the west ditch.
Bowie, 33, and his passenger, Debra Bowie, 60, were taken the Sheridan County Hospital in Hoxie, as was Waldon.
According to a report from the Kansas Highway Patrol, both Bowies both were wearing seat belts but Waldon was not.
