Smith Center residents injured in accident

KENSINGTON -- Two Smith Center residents were hospitalized for possible injuries after a one-vehicle accident Thursday.
Rachel H. Long, 31, and Rhonda Lynn Neilson, 62, were taken to Smith County Memorial Hospital after the accident, which occurred at about 5:30 p.m. on U.S. Highway 36 1 mile east of Kensington.
According to information from the Kansas Highway Patrol, the vehicle entered the south ditch. Long over-corrected and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle overturned after entering the ditch.
Neither was wearing a safety restraint.
