Four men were injured in a 2-vehicle accident between two semi trucks in Rooks County Monday morning.

The accident happened just after 8 a.m. on U.S. Highway 183 approximately 3 miles north of Stockton, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

A semi driven by Roy E. Guy III of Pawnee Rock slowed to make a left turn while traveling northbound. Misgina H. Meresa of Stone Mountain, Ga., also driving a semi-truck, attempted to pass on the left side, striking the truck on the driver's side fender.

Guy was able to steer his semi truck into the east ditch. Meresa lost control of his truck while attempting to enter the west ditch, causing the vehicle to overturn onto the driver's side.

Roy was taken to Rooks County Health Center for possible injuries, along with a second occupant, Calvin Neal Jr., Oklahoma City. Meresa also was hospitalized for injuries, as well as his passenger, Adugna K. Ferede, Clarkston, Ga.
