Collyer man injured in accident

QUINTER -- A Collyer man was injured in a one-vehicle accident Saturday afternoon just east of Quinter on Old U.S. Highway 40.

Paul Joseph Smith, 23, was traveling westbound on the highway when he lost control of the 2001 Buick he was driving. He over-corrected, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and roll.

Smith was taken to Gove County Medical Center for injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol report.
