Gorham man injured when cement truck overturns

RUSSELL -- A Gorham man was injured Saturday morning when the cement truck he was driving overturned north of Russell.
Christopher A. Howell, 37, was northbound on U.S. Highway 281 when the right wheel of his cement truck went off the roadway onto the soft shoulder, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
The vehicle entered the east ditch, Howell overcorrected and the vehicle crossed the roadway and entered the west ditch. The vehicle rolled onto the driver's side.
Howell was airlifted by Eagle-Med to Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. He was wearing a seat belt.
