Trego County

WaKEENEY -- A full schedule awaits the Trego County Commission when it meets at 9 a.m. Monday in the Trego County Courthouse in WaKeeney.

At 10 a.m., Jolene Niernberger will present a Foster Grandparent and Senior Companion financial request for 2010.

At 10:30 a.m., Ryan Rozean, director of the ambulance service will speak.

Department heads will meet with commissioners at 11 a.m. At 11:30 a.m., commissioners will open chemical bids.

At 1:30 p.m., road and bridge foreman Dale Pfannenstiel will talk roads.

At 2:30 p.m., Lutheran Home director Sandy Cline will meet with commissioners.

Victoria City Council

VICTORIA -- The Victoria City Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday in City Hall, 1005 Fourth.

At 7:35, the council will hear from Charlotte Lins ­ner of Northwest Kansas Domestic and Violence Services.

At 7:45, Victoria Police Chief Cole Dinkel will give a report.

At 7:50, City Superintendent Julius Windholz will give a report.

At 8, the council will have a public hearing concerning a Kansas Department of Health and Environment loan.

The council will also discuss old business regarding Main Street beautification and new business including July 4 holiday hours and the Highway 40 speed limit.

Ellis Co. Commission

The Ellis County Commission will meet Monday at 8:45 a.m. in the Commission Room at the Ellis County courthouse, 1204 Fort.

At 8:45, Emergency Medical Services Director Kerry McCue will present his monthly report.

At 9, Public Works Administrator Mike Graf will discuss road and bridge, solid waste, noxious weed and environmental matters.

At 10, Health Administrator Butch Schlyer will present his monthly report.

At 10:15, commissioners will discuss a department head evaluation.

At 10:30, Information Technology Director Mike Leiker will present his monthly report.

At 10:45, Ellis County Agricultural Agent Stacy Campbell will update the board on Extension activities.

At 11, Ellis County Counselor Bill Jeter will discuss union negotiations.

At 11:15, commissioners will review zoning regulations.

Hays USD 489

The Hays USD 489 Board of Education will meet Monday at 7 p.m. in the Toepfer Board room at the Rockwell Administration Center.

On the agenda:

* A presentation by Cheryl Shepherd-Adams about the results and achievements of the Kansas State Science and Engineering Fair team.

* A presentation about YouthFriends by Dana Stanton and Rae Smith.

* A contract with High Plains Sports Medicine.

* Proposed changes to the school calendar.

* Charges for the ACT Preparation course and summer weightlifting.

* A finance update.
