Special to The Hays Daily News

Fort Hays State University's second theater production of the season is Noel Coward's award-winning play "Blithe Spirit" the first week of December.

"Blithe Spirit" concerns socialite novelist Charles Condomine, who is haunted by the ghost of his first wife following a séance given by the eccentric medium/clairvoyant Madame Arcati.

The recent Broadway production starred Angela Lansbury as Madame Arcati and earned her a Tony Award for Best Actress.

The FHSU and Fringe Theatre Company production is a one-week run. The cast is Samie Pfeifer as Edith, Stacey Rathert as Ruth Condomine, Mario Loyzoya as Charles Condomine, Devin Konkel as Dr. George Bradman, Leanne Mersmann as Mrs. Violet Bradman, Regina Heier as Madame Arcati and Stefanie Stevens as Elvira Condomine. The play is directed by Jennifer Rajewski.

The production will be at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 3 through 5 with a 2:30 p.m. matinee on Dec. 6 in Felten-Start Theatre.

All seats are reserved. Tickets are $10 for students and $14 for the general public. Tickets go on sale Wednesday. To purchase, call the FHSU theater box office at (785) 628-4225.
