Chamber of Commerce to host annual banquet

The Hays Area Chamber of Commerce will host its annual banquet Thursday at Fort Hays State University.

The social will begin at 5:30 p.m. in Sunset Lounge of the Memorial Union hosted by FHSU President Edward H. Hammond, with the banquet's invocation and program beginning at 7 and 7:30 p.m., respectively, in the FHSU Ballroom.

KWCH meteorologist Merril Teller will deliver the keynote address.

Pastor Wes Oakley will lead the invocation, and the program will include a welcome statement and greeting by Hays Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Tammy Wellbrock and Hammond.

Former chairman Patrick Lowry will deliver the 2011 review, and current chairman Eric Norris will present the 2012 review.

Awards also will be given.

There are no more tickets available for the event.
