TOPEKA — Joe Scarborough, national political commentator and columnist, will be the keynote speaker at the Kansas Chamber's annual dinner Feb. 2, in Topeka.  The chamber's dinner is the largest annual statewide gathering of business and political leaders in Kansas, with more than 1,200 participants.

"We are very pleased to have someone with the national recognition of Joe Scarborough as the keynote speaker for our Annual Dinner," said Kansas Chamber President and CEO Amy J. Blankenbiller.  "Mr. Scarborough will offer his unique perspective on the current political landscape based on his experiences, and will be a speaker that both our business members and political leaders will appreciate."

Scarborough, a former member of the House,  hosts "Morning Joe" on MSNBC and "The Joe Scarborough Show" on ABC radio stations.  He has also hosted "Scarborough Country" on MSNBC.  In addition, Scarborough is the author of two books: "The Last Best Hope" and "Rome Wasn't Burnt in a Day."
