City website offers access to documents

The city of Hays website now offers easy access to various public documents.
The Laserfiche Web Access has been used by city staff for several years, but it always was the intent to use the document imaging system for public access, Information Technology Director Chad Ruder said.
The site offers city ordinances and resolutions, and city commission minutes dating back to the 19th century. More information will be added later.
The tool can be found at www.haysusa.com. An "online documents" link is included three places on the city's home page: within the "residents" tab, the "quick links" menu or the city commission page.
