FHSU reaches fundraising goal
Fort Hays State University announced today the completion of the largest fundraising campaign in its 110-year history.
Despite tough economic times, FHSU exceeded its $60 million goal by more than $8 million for its Cornerstone Campaign.
The total for the campaign, which kicked off in November 2006 and went public in the fall of 2009, is $68,743,800.
The funds will be used for a variety of needs, including the support of the renovation of Picken Hall, the university's signature building that was constructed in 1904 and has undergone several additions and improvements through the years.
Programs throughout campus also will receive additional support, especially scholarships for students.
