Nonprofits invited to seminar

The Heartland Community Foundation is sponsoring a free Innovative Development Strategies Seminar for nonprofit agency directors and board members Sept. 11 at the Robbins Center on the Fort Hays State University campus.
Sharon Omahen, with Innovative Charitable Solutions, Encinitas, Calif., will be the presenter. Her program will focus on agency endowments, effective development strategies and leadership development.
The seminar will begin at 9:30 a.m. and end following a free lunch. Omahen also is scheduled to meet in the afternoon with three local nonprofits for 45-minute individual consulting sessions.
Omahen also will share her expertise with the Heartland Community Foundation board during its regular monthly meeting at 8:30 a.m. Sept. 11.
