HHS opens the door to parents

Parents and guardians of Hays High School students will get a chance to visit their children's classrooms and learn a little about a day in the life of an HHS student at an open house Monday.

The post-secondary planning meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the Lecture Hall.

The open house, billed as VIP (Very Important Parents) Night, will begin at 7 in Gym A.

Following a welcome by Principal Mike Hester, parents will walk through their students' class schedules and meet their teachers.

The post-secondary planning meeting will feature longtime guidance counselor Kathy Spicer, who will give out valuable information on the process of choosing a college or technical school and applying for admission and financial aid, etc.
