A Holy Week breakfast will be sponsored by the Ellis County Ministerial Alliance from 6:30 to 7:45 a.m. March 29.

ECMA sponsored Holy Week activities in years past have included Maundy Thursday breakfasts and Good Friday Tre-Ore services. But due to a drop in attendance for those events, the ECMA "felt that doing a breakfast at the beginning of the week, focusing on preparation," would bring a new perspective to Holy Week in Ellis County, said Kevin Daniels, ECMA president.

The non-denominational breakfast will take place at the American Legion Hall, 13th and Canterbury. A short program will facilitate focus on the preparations of Jesus Christ as he approached Good Friday.

Cost of tickets, which can be purchased from Ellis County churches or by calling (785) 628-3460, is $8 in advance or $10 at the door. Profits from the event will benefit ECMA's 2nd Mile Fund.

More information about the breakfast can be obtained from Daniels at rev.kevin.daniels@gmail.com or ECMA Secretary Berniece Ludlum by calling (785) 625-3408.
