WINONA -- The Kansas Department of Transportation will host a public information open house about the upcoming project to improve Kansas Highway 25 from Russell Springs to the K-25/U.S. Highway 40 junction.

The meeting will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Winona Firehouse, 206 Belleview. KDOT engineers will be available for questions about the project, and they will outline the construction phasing and explain the detour.

Those unable to attend the open house can contact KDOT's District Three office in Norton for copies of the take-home information, which will be available after the meeting. Comments are welcome.
