NEW Customer Service Companies will honor its lease of its facility at 3000 New Way, just off Commerce Parkway in southeast Hays.

The company is closing the facility March 31 but will continue its lease through Nov. 30, 2014, according to Mark McCullick, acting president of Heart of America Development Corp., a local nonprofit group that owns the building.

McCullick said NEW is not opposed to someone sub-leasing the building for the duration of the lease. Heart of America already has been in contact with the Ellis County Coalition for Economic Development in an effort to market the building.

"Our goal is to get people in there as soon as we can, for the right terms, and we're hopeful we can do that," McCullick said.
