Two hurt in Kansas oil field explosion

BLUFF CITY (AP) -- Two workers have been injured in an oil well explosion in south-central Kansas.

KAKE-TV reported that the explosion occurred Thursday morning at a rig 4 miles south of Bluff City around 9:30 a.m.

Harper County emergency workers said two workers suffered burns in the blast. One person was burned on the arms, the other suffered some facial burns. They were taken to a hospital, but KAKE-TV reports their injuries were not considered life threatening.
