Nebraska residents injured near Oakley

OAKLEY -- Two Nebraska residents were injured Saturday night after the driver missed a turn just south of Oakley Country Club.

Marilyn B. Brown, 59, Sidney, Neb., was southbound on U.S. Highway 83 at approximately 6:20 p.m. when she missed a turn and continued south on County Road 430. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the driver lost control, and the vehicle rolled once, coming to rest in the west ditch.

Brown and her passenger, Carter A. Brown, 23, Chadron, Neb., were taken to Logan County Hospital, Oakley. Both were wearing seat belts, according to the KHP report.
