Tigers to volunteer for Hays Paint-A-Thon
On Saturday, the third annual Hays Paint-A-Thon will kick off starting at 8 a.m. It is a partnership between Fort Hays State University's Tigers In Service and the Hays Rotary Club. The Hays Paint-A-Thon allows students and faculty of FHSU to give back to a community that does so much for it. Through an application process, community members in need are given the opportunity to have their houses completely re-painted from start to finish in a single day, with no cost to them.
This year, volunteers will paint two homes. Volunteers are able to help during the morning shift, 8 to 11 a.m., or the afternoon shift, noon to 3 p.m. Interested volunteers must sign up with Tigers In Service by Friday.
Tigers In Service is a student organization of the Center for Civic Leadership that promotes community service and volunteerism among students by providing outreach opportunities through service projects in the broader community beyond the university campus.
