LOGAN -- Phillips County Farm Bureau will celebrate Kansas Day with activities from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at the Logan Community Building.
There will be interactive hands-on displays and activities created by local citizens.
The public is invited to attend this free event and learn more about Kansas and the area's history.
The displays will include clothing and hats worn in the past, Indian artifacts and a demonstration of bobbin lace being made. The Solomon Valley players also will perform a reenactment of what it was like in Logan in the past.
The District 3 Kansas Fur Harvesters Association will display furs, and there will be demonstrations using a milk separator, a butter churn, a corn meal grinder and wheat. Participants will be able to sample the food created.
