Hays man arrested for rape

A 21-year old Hays man was arrested on suspicion of rape just after 12 a.m. Monday in the 200 block of East Fifth.
Oscar G. Vallejo was arrested in connection with an incident reported to have occurred at 9 p.m. Jan. 13.
According to Hays Police Lt. Brandon Wright, Vallejo and the individual reporting the rape were alleged to be in a prior relationship with one another.
"It wasn't a stranger attack situation," Wright said.
