Ellis talking water lines

The Ellis City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday to review bills. The regular meeting follows at 7:30 p.m.

On the agenda:

* Water line repairs at the intersection of 14th and Madison.

* A proposed ordinance vacating portion of Fauteux Street.

* A proposed ordinance amending dog-at-large fines.

* Reports from city officials will follow as well as an update on the KSU Watershed Project and the CDBG Housing Grant Project;

The city attorney wil report on a dangerous structure.

Pool on Victoria agenda

VICTORIA -- The Victoria City Council will hold its weekly regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday.

The council will talk about the health facility and repair estimates for the swimming pool.

The council will also talk about the Herzogfest lease application, recreation commission appoints and reveiw the city's budget.

Reports on county agenda

The Ellis County Commission will meet in regular session at 8:45 a.m. Monday at the Ellis County Courthouse.

At 9 a.m., Public Works Administrator Mike Graf will discuss road and bridge, solid waste, noxious weed and environmental matters.

At 10 a.m., Health Administrator Butch Schlyer will present his monthly report.

At 10:15 a.m., Information Technology Director Mike Leiker will present his monthly report.

At 10:30 a.m., Emergency Management Coordinator Addie Homburg will present her monthly report.

Nursing home on tap

WaKEENEY -- Discussion on the future of the Lutheran Home in WaKeeney will continue Monday when the Trego County Commission meets at 9 a.m.

The Lutheran Home discusison will take place at 10:30 a.m.

At that time, a bond resolution and the total amount of money that would be needed for the county to take over the facility will be discussed.

The issue will be put before Trego County voters in a mail-ballot election this fall.

In addition to the nursing facility, commissioners will talk about the Trego County Free Fair and its budget at 10 a.m.

Commissioners will meet with department heads at 11 a.m.

Road and Bridge supervisor Dale Pfannenstiel will meet with commissioners at 11:30 a.m.
