City sales tax collections increase in November

City of Hays general sales tax collections continued to increase in November, according to information presented by City Manager Toby Dougherty at the Dec. 27 Hays City Commission meeting. Collections totaled $638,490, up $58,455 from November 2011, a 10-percent increase. Year-to-date general fund sales tax collections are up $441,146 or 6.65 percent.

Sales tax collections for Bickle/Schmidt Sports Complex are $259,761, an increase of $22,929 when compared to December 2011. Total year-to-date collections for the complex total $2.7 million with inception-to-date collections of $9.6 million.
