Personnel transactions approved at Monday's Board of Education meeting for Hays USD 489 were:

Resignations

Para educators -- Julie Blackwill, Wilson Elementary, effective end of 2007-08 school year; Pam Chatfield, Wilson Elementary, end of 2007-08 school year; Zachariah Church, Hays High, end of 2007-08 school year; Calvin Davenport, La Crosse, end of 2007-08 school year; Sarah Green, Roosevelt Elementary, end of 2007-08 school year; Penny McGinnis, Roosevelt Elementary, end of 2007-08 school year.

Cindy Compeau, librarian, O'Loughlin Elementary, end of 2007-08 school year; Jennifer Hackley, disabilities/transition coordinator, Head Start, end of 2007-08 school year; Crystal Hawley, Roosevelt Elementary, end of 2007-08 school year; Heather Herman, assistant cook, Roosevelt Elementary, effective April 1; Len Melvin, teacher, Felten Middle, resigning after a one-year leave of absence; Lisa Moyer, assistant cook, Felten Middle, May 14.
