BAZINE -- A standoff with law enforcement ended peacefully Sunday in this small Ness County town.
Michael Racy, technician trooper and public resource officer for Troop E of the Kansas Highway Patrol, said KHP was notified at approximately 3 p.m. Sunday about a barricaded subject in a house on the southern end of the town.
Officials with the Ness County Sheriff's department called for assistance with the situation, which eventually ended at approximately 5 p.m.
No one was hurt, and one subject was taken into custody and remained in the Ness County jail as of Sunday night.
The subject's name was not released, and Racy said any charges from the incident would be brought by the sheriff's department.
Six troopers from the KHP responded, along with members of the Ness County sheriff's department.
