Tree-planting demonstration planned Tuesday
A tree-planting demonstration is planned for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Kansas State University Agricultural Research Center.
The event will highlight the tree-line planting program, which focuses on trees suggested for growing in utility line areas. Ten varieties of crab apple trees will be planted during the demonstration.
Ellis County horticulture agent Holly Dickman and Kansas Forestry Service forester Jim Strine will demonstrate proper planting techniques.
