WaKEENEY -- A crash involving two vehicles in Trego County resulted in a man being taken to the hospital for possible injuries.

James M. Opat, 69, WaKeeney, was driving his 1996 Chevrolet truck westbound on Trego county road J, while Reed Matthew Bernbeck, 29, Ransom, was going north on U.S. Highway 283 in his 2007 Dodge truck at 9:10 a.m. Tuesday approximately a half-mile south of WaKeeney.

Opat failed to stop at the intersection and struck Bernbeck's truck on the passenger side, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
