Golden Corral, 383 Mopar Drive, will host a free meal for military veterans and those active in the military from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday.

The Military Appreciation meal is in its ninth year. Manager Karen Wise said the local Golden Corral served more than 400 veterans and active military during last year's event. Nationwide, Golden Corral has served more than 2 million veterans to date.

Wise said a disc jockey will be playing patriotic music throughout the night, and the local Disabled American Veterans group will be collecting donations. Transportation will be available from the parking lot to the front door of Golden Corral, Wise said.
