OSBORNE -- After deliberating for less than three hours Tuesday, an Osborne County jury found Kenneth Eugene Wilson guilty of the March 2008 murder of Jeffery Scott Noel.

Jurors found Wilson guilty on four counts: premeditated first-degree murder, aggravated burglary of Noel's home, burglary of a residence in Downs and criminal possession of a firearm.

Sentencing is set for June 23. Wilson faces life in prison on the charges.

He should be executed within 6 months, but it won't happen. Even if he is sentenced to death he will still be alive 15 to 20 years from now thanks to the lawyers and judges. It only took 2 or 3 years for Hickock & Smith and even then, that was considered a long time.

There should be a limited amount of appeals and after those appeals are over thats it capital punishment. Think about it your convicted of murder you have 5 appeals. Do you use them one after another or over a number of years as you are waiting for the chair. Other than that I feel that our justice system is corrupt and incompetent.

They have released people from prison with DNA, well that's great,so DNA should also help take these murdering scum bags to the rope with out delay!

why jail?: 5/20/2009
I'm wondering why the throw these kind of guys in prison for life. I think anyone who kills another person needs to be put to death as soon as they are found guilty. You know how much money that would save us taxpayers. Instead they let them sit in prison where they are spoiled. They live a better life then some of the good people trying to make a living. There would for sure be lots of room in our prison's if we got rid of all the murderers.

I agree. To me swift adminstration of justice means, hang 'em at sunrise.

Why does society have to be burdened to pay for people like this to be kept around? I hear occasionally that the Death Penalty ends up costing the tax payer much more. If that is true it once agains is a true indicator that there are things currently in our court system that need to be changed. Some laws like other things in this world need to be changed instead of those things being continued to be rammed down our throats because this has been the way this has been set up by our ancestors. I don't recall reading too many stories about back in the Old West that many folks who committed murder were allowed to continue to appeal their conviction for a number of years or sit on death row while the tax payers paid the bill. Time to make some changes people.
